Our A-G approved Science Wet Labs provide the essential hands-on experience required for admission to California’s UC and CSU campuses. These dynamic, expert-led labs ensure your student meets the lab science (“D”) requirement — a critical step toward thriving in their first year of college.
To qualify, students must complete at least one year of lab-based science in two core subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Earth Science. Important Information About A-G Wet Labs
- Supplemental Lab Credit Only: Lab Rat Academy’s wet labs fulfill the hands-on laboratory component required for A-G approved science courses. They do not replace the full textbook or course content.

Not an Accredited School: Lab Rat Academy is not an accredited institution. To earn A-G credit, students must be enrolled in an accredited school or charter school. Please check with your school to ensure they will accept these labs toward course credit.

UC A-G Laboratory Requirement:
To meet UC/CSU expectations, students must complete labs that fulfill this guideline:“At least 20 percent of class time must include teacher-supervised, hands-on laboratory activities that are directly related to course content. These labs must involve inquiry, observation, analysis, and written investigation, in alignment with the scientific practices of the discipline. Teacher supervision may be synchronous or asynchronous, whether in-person, online, or hybrid.”
